huge fire in stillorgan 22 January 2011

HDL was called in By Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council early on Saturday morning after what was described as one of the largest fire scenes in Dublin in many years. Over 20 fire tenders attended the incident. Three fire officers were injured tackling the blaze at the building on the lower Kilmacud Road in Stillorgan, on Friday night. The building houses a public house, restaurant, a branch of Chartbusters, dry cleaners and a number of apartments. Hegarty Demolition has been requested to make the scene safe to enable a technical examination by Gardai. The Garda Press Office said it was too early to say what had caused the fire.
